PM Shift Warehouse Supervisor

As a pivotal member of the Supply Chain & Logistics department you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient & safe operation of warehouse activities including the supervision of staff & managing the accurate supply & distribution of inbound & outbound cargo.

You must demonstrate strong leadership, organisational & communication skills to maintain operational excellence & promote a safety-first culture.

Previous experience in warehousing in Import/Export &/or freight forwarding environment advantageous while understanding of correct food/perishables storage, processes & practices essential

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the warehouse team & truck drivers by allocating tasks to ensure quality performance & meeting daily operational goals.
• Ensure accurate allocation of cargo into chillers & freezers, maintaining correct storage practices & documentation
• Ensure that employees follow correct processes for inbound cargo, including accurate paperwork completion & data entry into the system, to maintain record accuracy and compliance.
• Manage all exports making sure they are dispatched punctually in accordance with the relevant paperwork & load sheets, ensuring that timelines & quality standards are met.
• Oversee the loading, sealing & documentation of Unit Load Devices (ULDs), ensuring they are prepared correctly & in compliance with shipping regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain quality control standards to prevent errors and damages during warehouse operations, conducting periodic inspections and initiating improvements.
• Recommend & implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
• Identify training needs & opportunities for team development, conducting regular training sessions on safety, operational procedures & equipment handling.
• Ensure the safety of the workplace by actively enforcing OHS policies as well as conducting regular safety audits, identifying potential hazards & implement corrective actions promptly.
• Maintain effective communication with internal & external stakeholders, including providing regular updates to management on warehouse operations & addressing any issues promptly.
