OR

Are you an experienced Cook looking to combine your passion for preparing nutritious meals with working alongside children?

We’re looking for a flexible team member who can provide both Educator and Cook leave cover at our welcoming Whittlesea Early Learning Centre.

About the Role

Sparkways Early Learning Whittlesea provides long day care and integrated funded kindergarten programs for children from six weeks to school age.

As a Casual Educator/Cook, you’ll have the opportunity to work across both roles, supporting our team wherever you’re needed.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds (or is working towards) a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Has experience preparing healthy meals in childcare, aged care, hospitals or similar environments
  • Understands food safety, dietary requirements and allergy management
  • Loves working with children and enjoys being part of their daily learning and wellbeing
  • Is available at least three days per week
  • Can work 8-hour shifts between 6:45am and 6:15pm, including opening and closing shifts
  • Is reliable, adaptable and happy to step into either Educator or Cook shifts as required
  • Has strong references from previous employers
