Summary:

The Change Management Engineer plays a crucial role in the manufacturing and production sector by facilitating the smooth implementation of change initiatives. This position is based in Lebanon, Tennessee, and is essential for ensuring that changes are effectively managed to minimize disruption and enhance operational efficiency. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to develop strategies that support organizational transformation and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage.
  • Conduct impact analyses to assess the potential implications of changes on processes.
  • Coordinate planning and execution of activities related to engineering changes along with approval workflows for engineering changes.
  • Develops and finalizes part breakpoints with guidance from Supply Chain, Engineering, and Sales.
  • Optimize time, cost, and scope of engineering changes at the manufacturing site.
  • Structure and maintain bill of materials (MBOM), create routings and workflow.
  • Review existing product design, identify weaknesses, propose for approval, implement and monitor effectiveness of improvements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.
  • Problem solving, failure analysis/RCA as well as continuous improvement using various methodologies such as Six Sigma, 8D.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Cross functional support as required for new and current product investigations, introductions or improvements including using tools such as PPAP, FMEA, SPC, Kaizen, Pareto analysis
  • Prepare and present reports on change management activities and outcomes to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in change management or a related role within the manufacturing sector.
  • Proven experience in project management and process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in change management tools and software.
  • Understanding of blueprint interpretation, geometric tolerancing, classification of fit.
  • Proficient in ERP software.
  • Certifications in change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR) are preferred.
