About the role

Reporting to the Director Growth and Engagement, you will work across the organisation to deliver communication activities that support client engagement, stakeholder relationships, workforce recruitment, organisational reputation and service growth.

What you’ll be doing

  • Writing and editing content for newsletters, brochures, reports, presentations and stakeholder communication
  • Creating content for social media, websites and digital communication channels
  • Developing client communication materials including handbooks, welcome packs and service updates
  • Gathering client stories, case studies and testimonials
  • Managing communication calendars and coordinating regular communication activities
  • Supporting community events and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Assisting with communication for government, funding and community stakeholders
  • Developing employee and volunteer communication materials
  • Monitoring communication performance and preparing reports
  • Supporting communication responses to issues, incidents and service disruptions

About you

You are an experienced communication professional who enjoys producing high-quality work and can manage multiple projects at once.

You will bring:

  • Five to seven years’ experience in communication, public relations, stakeholder engagement, marketing or a similar field
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Experience developing content across multiple communication channels
  • Experience managing websites, newsletters, social media and digital content
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
  • The ability to write clearly and simply for different audiences

Accessibility matters

We are looking for someone who understands how to create communication that is accessible, inclusive and easy to understand.

Experience writing in plain English and developing accessible digital and printed materials will be highly regarded.

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience in community services, disability, aged care, health, transport, government or not-for-profit organisations
  • Experience supporting issues management or reputation management activities
  • Experience using CRM, email marketing or customer communication platforms.
