Description

Tweed Mall Medical Centre is seeking a casual Medical Receptionist.

With experience in a busy medical office and a focus on great service, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, inquiries, and key admin tasks. Reporting to a supportive Practice Manager, you’ll help keep our centre running smoothly while supporting doctors and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth.
  • Efficiently schedule, reschedule, and manage cancellations to optimize patient flow.
  • Accurately verify patient information using Best Practice software.
  • Handle phone calls and inquiries, ensuring timely message relay and follow-up.
  • Assist doctors and staff with various administrative tasks to maintain seamless clinic operations.
  • Process billing and payments in line with business requirements.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation while adhering to privacy regulations.
  • Address and resolve patient concerns, ensuring the highest level of customer service.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience in a medical office setting or similar environment.
  • Experience with Best Practice software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the capacity to multitask efficiently.
  • Flexible availability across a range of weekdays and working hours
