In this role, you’ll:
- Ensure the delivery of quality
programs that create a safe and engaging environment for children’s play and
learning, catering to all abilities.
- Act as the Responsible Person in the
absence of the Nominated Supervisor, overseeing daily operations of the
service.
- Develop positive relationships with
children and families, using information to support holistic development and
keep parents informed about program activities.
- Maintain accurate administrative
records, including attendance and health reports, while ensuring
confidentiality and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Stay updated on professional
knowledge through training and maintain a thorough understanding of relevant
regulations and policies related to children’s services.
To
be successful:
- Certificate III (minimum) or Diploma
in Early Childhood Education plus a minimum of two years of on-the-job
training, and demonstrable skills and knowledge in Early Years practices.
- Sound knowledge of the issues and
needs that affect young children and their families, and experience in applying
strategies to support inclusive practice and positive outcomes for children.
- Sound knowledge of the National
Quality Framework and VEYLD and an understanding of how to apply and adopt
relevant policies, standards and regulations into the program.
- Experience and proven ability to work
cooperatively with parents and families.
- Excellent organisational skills and
the ability to prioritise work.
- Excellent oral and written
communication skills.
- Victorian Employee Working with
Children Check and Class C Driver’s Licence.
