Customer Service Officer
- Permanent part-time role, 32 hours, four days per week.

In this role, you will
- Provide accurate and timely information to the community and Council staff.
- Build strong relationships across Council departments.
- Assist in enhancing systems and processes and suggest ways to make each interaction ‘a
good customer experience’.
- Work collaboratively with the Librarian and Library Customer Service Officer to assist with library returns, reservations, queries, statistical data and internet bookings.
- Ensure public access materials, notices and resources are maintained and easily accessible, and internal spaces are clean and well-maintained.
What we’re looking for
- Successful completion of VCE or equivalent, or a Certificate III in Administration, and
demonstrated skills and experience in a customer service role.
- Exceptional presentation and verbal and written communication skills.
- Digital literacy skills, including up-to-date knowledge of computer programs and office
equipment.
- Ability to multitask, manage your time, and deal with challenging situations.
- A willingness to learn all aspects of the role, including cash and EFTPOS
payments, form processing and hands-on library duties.
A current Australian Driver’s license, full Australian working rights, and a current Victorian Working with Children Check are essential for this role.
