Description

Customer Service Officer

  • Permanent part-time role, 32 hours, four days per week.
  • Join a small team in a relaxing environment based in Tallangatta.
  • Study Leave provisions, and secondment and career growth opportunities.

In this role, you will

  • Provide accurate and timely information to the community and Council staff.
  • Build strong relationships across Council departments.
  • Assist in enhancing systems and processes and suggest ways to make each interaction ‘a good customer experience’.
  • Work collaboratively with the Librarian and Library Customer Service Officer to assist with library returns, reservations, queries, statistical data and internet bookings.
  • Ensure public access materials, notices and resources are maintained and easily accessible, and internal spaces are clean and well-maintained.

What we’re looking for

  • Successful completion of VCE or equivalent, or a Certificate III in Administration, and demonstrated skills and experience in a customer service role.
  • Exceptional presentation and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Digital literacy skills, including up-to-date knowledge of computer programs and office equipment.
  • Ability to multitask, manage your time, and deal with challenging situations.
  • A willingness to learn all aspects of the role, including cash and EFTPOS payments, form processing and hands-on library duties.

A current Australian Driver’s license, full Australian working rights, and a current Victorian Working with Children Check are essential for this role.
