We are seeking a friendly, professional Corporate Receptionist to join our administration team at our Adelaide CBD head office.

As the first point of contact for Tonkin, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming and professional experience for our clients, visitors and staff. Working as part of a collaborative reception team, you’ll enjoy a varied role where no two days are the same.

About the role

As the face of our business, you’ll provide a high standard of customer service while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of our office.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting clients and visitors and managing the sign-in/sign-out process
  • Answering and directing phone calls across Tonkin’s national offices and taking accurate messages
  • Managing the Reception inbox and responding to enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Receiving deliveries, coordinating couriers and managing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Booking travel, including flights, accommodation, car hire and taxis for staff
  • Coordinating meeting rooms, catering, refreshments and meeting resources
  • Assisting with training bookings and maintaining training records
  • Maintaining personnel and holiday registers
  • Ordering and managing office, kitchen and stationery supplies
  • Coordinating uniforms, corporate gifts and other office consumables
  • Assisting with internal office events, morning teas and staff initiatives
  • Supporting the planning and coordination of client workshops and corporate events, including venues, travel, catering and event materials
  • Providing general administrative support to project teams and the wider business

You are a proactive, organised and customer-focused professional who enjoys helping others and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administration role within a professional office environment
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience operating a busy switchboard and managing multiple priorities
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also working independently
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Outlook
  • A minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
