Description

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Scaffolder ready to step up into a Casual Leading Hand role on a 6-month higher duties (HD) contract, based at our Forster branch. This is a great opportunity to develop your leadership skills and take the next step in your career. Depending on operational requirements, the role may continue beyond the initial 6-month contract.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supervising and directing scaffold crews on site to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Australian Standards
  • Conducting pre-starts, enforcing PPE and SWMS requirements, and reporting hazards promptly
  • Coordinating labour, materials, and equipment requirements with supervisors and yard teams
  • Inspecting scaffolds and ensuring tagging, documentation, and handover requirements are met
  • Completing site diaries, day works, and handover forms accurately and on time
  • Mentoring and developing your team, leading by example and reinforcing a positive team culture
