Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Moe, VIC. This temporary, casual role is essential in providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, ensuring they lead fulfilling and independent lives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients while promoting their dignity and respect.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities in accordance with their care plans.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility support.
  • Encourage and facilitate social and recreational activities to promote client engagement and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and organisational policies to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a support worker or in a similar role is preferred.
  • A relevant qualification in disability support, health care, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and promoting their independence.
