Description

Summary:

We are seeking dedicated Aged Care Support Workers to join our team in the Bankstown area. This temporary, casual role is vital in providing compassionate care and support to elderly individuals, ensuring their comfort and well-being. As a key member of our social care team, you will play an essential role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, making a positive impact in the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence & access to a comprehensive-insured car
  • Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC) for paid employment
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other care team members to develop and implement individual care plans.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a support worker or in a similar role within the aged care sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Empathy and compassion for the elderly, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Relevant certifications in aged care or health support services are preferred but not essential.
