At The Centre for Women & Co. and Men & Co. Services we work to support individuals, children and families towards physical and emotional safety through Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence support and health and wellbeing counselling. The Role 

The Assessment & Response Senior Practitioner is responsible for delivering direct services to individuals experiencing domestic and/or family violence across the Logan and Redlands regions. In addition to direct client support, the Senior Practitioner works closely with the Team Leader to provide guidance and support to the Assessment and Response team. This includes assisting the team to meet performance benchmarks, fostering a positive and collaborative working culture, and supporting ongoing training and skills development. The role also involves active participation in networking opportunities and contributing to the strengthening of the Integrated Service Response across Logan and Redlands. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide case management guidance and advice to the Assessment and Response team in consultation with the Team Leader. 
  • Support the Assessment and Response Team Leader with day to day practice support for the Assessment and Response workers including case consults, practice framework alignment, strengthening ISR responses for clients.  
  • Facilitate case unpacks with the assessment and response team. 
  • Support the Team Leader to attend ISR events across Logan and Redlands 
  • Provide phone and face to face crisis support, advocacy, information, and referral to women and children who are experiencing Domestic and Family Violence – including working with complex cases. 
  • Safety planning with clients and completing risk assessments. 
  • Liaise with other service providers regarding possibilities for collaboration in service delivery 
  • Reviewing client files and conducting case reviews to strengthen service delivery.  

 

 

Salary and Benefits 

  • SCHADS Level 6.1 ($55.71 p/h) | Full-Time (38 Hours Per Week) | $110,000 annually 
  •  Temporary contract

Experience and Qualifications 

Please note, roles above a SCHADS Level 4.1 require completed or working towards tertiary qualifications at a bachelors/undergraduate level or higher. Roles above a SCHADS Level 5.1 require completed tertiary qualifications at a bachelors/undergraduate level or higher.  

This role requires qualifications in Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or human services (alongside relevant experience) received from a recognised university This role would also benefit from Demonstrated experience and comprehensive knowledge of Domestic and Family Violence, and its effect on women, children and the wider community and demonstrated understanding of and experience working within current legislation (Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012).   

Potential Start Dates 

This role is available to start on the 19th June 2026 through to 31st October 2026.  

 

We have set start dates for new team members so that they can undertake our supportive induction process with our Practice and Development Lead. This process allows new team members to have set time to learn more about our organisation, our practice frameworks and set up all equipment and logins.
