The Bridge Incorporated is a community‑based, not‑for‑profit organisation that supports people with disability and people from other disadvantaged backgrounds across Melbourne’s south‑east and northern suburbs. We believe in inclusive workplaces, celebrating different ways of thinking, learning and working — and creating real employment opportunities where people can thrive.
We’re now looking for a Training and Support Officer to join our Thomastown Warehouse – a busy, welcoming environment with multiple production and process lines, supported by a diverse workforce.
This is a hands‑on, people‑focused role where you’ll work alongside Supported Employees in a warehouse setting, offering day‑to‑day support, encouragement and practical training. You’ll focus on what people can do, supporting them to build on their strengths and reach their employment goals at a pace that works for them.
- Providing friendly, practical supervision and support on the warehouse floor
- Delivering on‑the‑job training that suits different learning styles and communication needs
- Getting to know each Supported Employee’s strengths and supporting skill development
- Encouraging safe work practices and quality outcomes
- Taking part in manual warehouse tasks, including repetitive work, lifting and standing
- Being a steady, encouraging presence throughout the workday
Please note this is a 6-month fixed-term role requiring at least a Certificate IV in Disability (or a higher/equivalent qualification)
Join an environment where you’ll feel valued, supported, and inspired to make a difference with a passionate, supportive team making a real difference every day.
- Access up to $18,500 in Not-For-Profit Salary Packaging
- Support your work/life balance with flexible working arrangements
- An extra day of leave in your birthday month
- Connect to a range of services with Sonder EAP including counselling, nutritional, medical and financial professionals
- Maintain your health and wellbeing with discounts to your private health insurance
- Start your new role with a comprehensive induction and training
- Be part of a team that cares about your ongoing professional development
- Opportunities to build your skills and gain new experiences across the organisation
