Are you detail-oriented with a passion for governance, compliance, and partnering with organisations?

The Breakthrough Office (TBO) is on the lookout for an organised and proactive Governance Officer to join our growing team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to client success.

About the Role

You will play a key part in supporting boards and senior leadership teams to achieve best practice in corporate governance and compliance. Reporting to our Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll handle a range of essential administrative and secretarial duties, from drafting meeting agendas and minutes to maintaining compliance registers and supporting AGMs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing board and committee meeting agendas and minutes
  • Managing compliance registers and statutory records
  • Coordinating board pack distribution and meeting logistics
  • Supporting director onboarding/offboarding and annual AGM processes
  • Providing hands-on support for governance software and client communication
  • This role is central to maintaining accountability and transparency for our clients and their boards.

What We’re Looking For

You’re highly organised and have strong communication skills. Ideally you have some experience in governance or secretarial roles. You’re confident working with software systems and thrive in a team that values growth, collaboration, and client-centred service.
