About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to join The Banyans as a Wellness Coach in a role that is as meaningful as it is unique. Whether you’re looking for full-time, part-time, or casual flexibility, we have positions available to suit, with a rotating roster that includes overnight shifts.
You’ll provide high-quality, person-centred support to guests navigating some of life’s most challenging moments, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver genuine recovery outcomes. This role is well-suited to those currently studying psychology, counselling, social work, or a related field. It offers hands-on experience within a premium clinical environment, working alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide holistic wellness support to guests across a range of presentations including mental health, addiction, trauma, and eating disorders
- Offer compassionate emotional support to guests and their families
- Monitor guest progress and communicate any changes to the supervising clinician
- Assist with guest assessments and contribute to individualised care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with organisational standards
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional recovery outcomes
- Uphold all relevant standards, regulations, and The Banyans’ commitment to excellence
What You’ll Bring
- A qualification in psychology, counselling, social work, or a related health or human services field, or current enrolment in a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate program
- A genuine passion for person-centred care in a mental health or wellness setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgement
- The ability to work calmly under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Availability to work a rotating roster including overnight, weekend, and public holiday shifts
- A valid, unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
- Full Australian working rights
- Current or willingness to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current or willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid Certificates
