Accommodation Village Manager or Management Couple

Wadeye, Northern Territory – Remote Indigenous Community

• On-site Furnished Accommodation provided

• 6 weeks leave + 17.5% leave loading

We are seeking an experienced, practical and hands-on Accommodation Village Manager to lead the daily operations of an 80-room accommodation village in the remote Indigenous community of Wadeye. This role requires a capable all-rounder who can oversee guest check-ins, room allocations, housekeeping standards, budgets, minor maintenance and general site presentation while building positive working relationships with staff, contractors and community stakeholders.

About You

  • Previous experience managing accommodation, village, camp, hostel or remote site operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, stock control and general administration.
  • Ability to manage guest services and complete in-person check-ins in a professional and friendly manner.
  •  Experience working in remote, residential, or community-based settings desirable
  • Leadership or supervisory experience highly regarded

Essential Licences / Clearance prior to commencement

  • NT Drivers Licence (Class C)
  • National Police Check
  • NLC work/residential permits (with assistance from TDC)

Key Responsibilities

·Manage the day-to-day operation of an 80 single-room donga style accommodation village.

·Coordinate guest arrivals, departures, room allocations and in-person check-ins.

·Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety and comfort across rooms and shared facilities.

·Monitor budgets, approve routine expenditure and maintain accurate administrative and operational records.

·Carry out or coordinate minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including basic troubleshooting of air conditioning units and VAST TV systems.

·Inspect rooms and common areas regularly to identify maintenance, cleaning and safety issues.

·Liaise with trades, contractors and suppliers to ensure timely repairs and reliable service delivery.

·Support stock control and ordering for cleaning products, maintenance supplies and village consumables.

·Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, site procedures and accommodation standards.

·Respond calmly and practically to operational issues as they arise in a remote setting.

This position may suit a handy person/administrator couple,

where one partner can take the lead on village operations, maintenance coordination and site presentation (Village Maintenance Coordinator Position),

while the other supports administration, bookings, records and guest

services (Accommodation Village Manager Position). Flexibility, teamwork

and a willingness to contribute across multiple functions will be highly valued.
