The Role in a Sentence…
As our Hospital Business Development Specialist, you will be a strategic, relationship-focused professional driving the adoption and integration of Telecare’s vital telehealth services and software across Australian hospitals and healthcare facilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with administrators, clinical leads, executives and department heads. You will identify and protect the “clinical champion” within each facility.
- Proactively map out, identify, and pursue new facility opportunities. You will qualify leads early using our MEDDIC-based framework and uncover specific funding sources (e.g., ABF, block funding, PHN commissioning).
- Create tailored proposals, presentations, and business cases that demonstrate how Telecare solutions align perfectly with a hospital’s clinical and operational needs.
- Represent Telecare at key hospital forums, workshops and major conferences, running targeted pre-conference outreach to secure critical face-to-face meetings.
- Execute clean contract handovers to our Implementation & Partnerships team, keeping yourself visible to the customer for the first 90 days to ensure a seamless integration.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a unique professional who can bring clinical credibility and blend it seamlessly with a commercially focused drive.
You are a great fit if you possess:
- A strong background in nursing, allied health/a clinical discipline OR a proven healthcare BD/sales track record selling directly into Australian public hospitals, health services, PHNs or aged care.
- A professional who prioritises phone calls, video syncs and face-to-face rooms over hiding behind massive, impersonal email threads.
- A strategic thinker with the results-oriented mindset and resilience required to navigate long-cycle enterprise sales.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and comfort leveraging AI tools to optimise your daily workflow, combined with the sharp judgment required to thoroughly verify facts before data reaches a client.
- The ability to work hand-in-hand with internal clinical leads to ensure your market-facing messaging perfectly reflects real-world clinical realities.
