Tangentyere Council deliver a
range of Youth, Families & Community Safety (YFCS) services across Town
Camps and Alice Springs, supporting children, young people, families, and
communities through the delivery of daytime and after-hours services focussed
on recreation, diversion, out of home care, community safety and family support
programs.
Tangentyere Family Support Service delivers early intervention, and
prevention supports for Aboriginal families in Alice Springs, focusing on the
wellbeing and best interests of children aged 0–18. The program offers
culturally safe, trauma-informed case management tailored to each family’s
unique circumstances.
Using a goal-oriented, family-focused approach, the service supports
families to create safe and nurturing environments for children. Through
coordinated case planning and support, it aims to strengthen parenting
capacity, build resilience, and promote long-term positive outcomes.

families to reach their goals. The role focuses on building parenting skills
and strengthening relationships while increasing family capacity to address
safety concerns and protect children from harm.

a motivated professional with good communication skills and has a strong commitment
to supporting vulnerable families. The successful candidate will have some
experience in community engagement and a proven ability to work in a culturally
safe manner. Understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal languages is highly

line with our duty of care obligations. We have zero tolerance when it comes to
