Join Taldumande Youth Services, a leading not-for-profit supporting young people aged 12–24 experiencing homelessness and family breakdown. Through our accommodation and outreach programs, we help young people build independence and long-term stability.

About the role

We’re seeking an organised and people-focused Receptionist / Administration Officer to work Wednesday to Friday as part of a collaborative job-share arrangement. This role supports our team and provides a welcoming, professional first point of contact for young people, visitors, stakeholders, and partners.

Your Work pattern:

  • Wednesday to Friday (9am – 5pm)
  • 22.8 hours per week
  • 7.6 hours per day
  • Flexibility to cover leave and occasionally adjust days is essential.

What you’ll be doing

  • Be the first point of contact for young people, visitors, and stakeholders.
  • Manage phone calls and enquiries with professionalism and care.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes.
  • Provide general administration support, including data entry, records, mail, and internal documentation.
  • Maintain rent ledgers and support property administration.
  • Support events, fundraising, and donations.
  • Coordinate office supplies, maintenance, and liaison with trades.
  • Maintain a welcoming and organised office environment.
  • Ensure smooth handovers and communication with your job-share partner.
  • Provide ad hoc administration and HR support duties as required.

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in reception or administration.
  • Certificate IV in Business.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, with Excel essential.
  • SharePoint experience.
  • Experience taking meeting minutes
  • Canva skills.

Requirements

  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence.
  • Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend off-site properties, including refugee accommodation, for occasional WHS inspections.
  • Paid Working with Children Check
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.

  • Willingness to complete mandatory training.
  • Willingness to obtain a First Aid Certificate if required.
