The role:

Taipan is thrilled to be recognised as one of Australia’s top 10 hydraulic companies, and we’re on the lookout for our next Branch Manager for our Caboolture branch!

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Taipan is seeking a proactive and personable Branch Manager to run our team in North Brisbane. If you are a team-player and have a great understanding of hydraulics, warehouse operations and management, then this is the position for you.

This role involves:

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales revenue and margin targets
  • Mentor, coach, and performance manage staff
  • Provide management, support & training for staff
  • Support customers and sales staff 
  • Operational duties including counter sales, hose assembly, stock control & quality control
  • Liaise with sales to develop local client base
  • Ensure complete and on-time deliveries
  • Attend & participate in Management Meetings
  • Prepare monthly management reports
  • Research and appoint transport/courier services
  • Resolve all customer complaints as per Taipan complaints process
  • Provide fantastic customer service
  • Maintain and keep available all customer records and customer correspondence
  • Other duties as required 

To be successful you’ll need some or all of the following: 

  • Hose and fixings product knowledge 
  • Hydraulic engineering product knowledge 
  • Knowledge of hydraulic industry applications 
  • Information and communication technology (ICT) literate
  • Warehouse Management experience desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Communication skills
  • Forklift licence
  • Valid full drivers’ licence
