Summary:
We are seeking a skilled HC Truck & Dog Driver to join our team in Port Adelaide, South Australia. This permanent, full-time position is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient transport of goods across the region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and compliance, contributing to our reputation for reliability in the transport and rail industry.
Responsibilities:
- Operate HC truck and dog combinations safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Transport goods to various locations while adhering to all road regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to coordinate logistics.
- Ensure the secure loading and unloading of cargo to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment.
Do you have:
- Valid HC (Heavy Combination) driver’s licence.
- Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably with dog trailer experience.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and transport compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
