Symons Clark Logistics is a 150-year-old, family owned, Port Adelaide based transport and logistics company. Our experience brings with it premium wharf cartage and container transport services, with a focus on providing customers with complete logistics solutions including warehousing,
container pack/unpack, distribution, over-dimensional, heavy haulage, project
logistics and Australia wide bulk haulage.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of forklifts, and a variety of other vehicles and equipment within the business, as well as contributing to the broader workshop team. As a part of the workshop team, you will be required to teach and mentor staff, whilst also working closely with the Workshop Manager to drive continuous improvement initiatives. We will provide on the job training alongside experienced forklift mechanics, to help built knowledge and experience in what Symons Clark do.
What you will be doing:
·Shift Work with your choice of 7 days on / 7 days off roster (12-hour shift) OR regular Monday to Friday 5:2 roster.
·Maintaining and repairing small and heavy Clark Omega equipment.
·All work to be carried out with safe work practices.
·You will be responsible for servicing and
working on a variety of machinery such as fleet to large scale overhauls. This includes
but is not limited to boom, mast to engine, driveline and final drive systems. Symons
Clark are proud to say we service everything inhouse.
·You will be responsible for servicing equipment that
is predominantly Clark Omega, ranging from 2.5t forklifts to 65t reach stackers,
as well as other plant equipment.
Do you have…
• Trade Certificate as a Diesel Mechanic.
• C class driver’s licence essential (Truck HC or MC
desirable).
• Proven experience servicing and maintaining forklifts.
• Auto electrical and/or hydraulic knowledge (desired but
not essential)
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• A strong commitment to safety.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems desirable.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.

• Successful applicants will be required to complete a
Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screening, and Police Check.
