The South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service based in Bunbury which provides a variety of health services to Aboriginal people in the South West, Great South, Upper wheatbelt and Peel Regions of Western Australia.  SWAMS delivers a wide range of Services including: GP Clinics, Primary Health Care, Counselling, NDIS and community host various programs. SWAMS has a strong growth strategy through partnership opportunities and future community development. 

 

About the role

We are seeking a friendly, professional and enthusiastic Receptionist to become the welcoming face of our Administration building in Bunbury. This role is initially casual working Monday to Friday but may provide opportunities for permanency either in this role or other roles at SWAMS.

 

This is a crucial position at SWAMS as you are that first point of contact for all that visit or call into our administration building. This role will include:

 

  • Greet and direct all visitors and clients to appropriate staff and provide general information when needed.
  • Receive and record all calls and mail
  • Collection and posting of all mail
  • Manage the visitor sign in book
  • General office maintenance such as replenish kitchen supplies
  • Administration projects
  • Preparing documents at the request of management

 About you 

You will be self motivated and committed to providing a high level of customer service along with being organised and a people person who likes interacting with others: Some of the requirements for this role are:

  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent under section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Demonstrated high level skills with Microsoft Office software packages
  • Fast learner who has a willingness to learn
  • Punctual and reliable
