About the Role

The Funding & Claims Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of NDIS and Support at Home claims, with a strong focus on financial accuracy, data validation, and compliance.

 

This role supports day-to-day claims operations, including claim submission, follow-up, and reconciliation, while assisting with accounts receivable and rental collection functions. The position works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure claim accuracy, minimise revenue loss, and maintain operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

NDIS and Support at Home Claims

  • Process and submit claims accurately and within required timeframes
  • Review and validate service data prior to submission
  • Monitor claim status and follow up on rejected or outstanding claims
  • Investigate and escalate discrepancies where required

Data Monitoring and Follow-up

  • Review claims data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Identify discrepancies and follow up with internal teams
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records

Stakeholder Communication

  • Respond to queries from Case Managers and internal stakeholders
  • Provide updates on claim status
  • Liaise with Finance and Operations teams to resolve issues

Accounts Receivable and Rental Support

  • Assist with Supported Independent Living rent collection
  • Monitor outstanding payments and follow up
  • Support accounts receivable processes and payment tracking

Other Duties

  • Provide support to finance team as required
  • Assist with process improvements
  • Perform other duties as directed by management

About You

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good Excel skills and ability to work with data
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

Desirable

  • Experience in Accounts Receivable or Assistant Accountant roles
  • Exposure to NDIS claims or healthcare funding
  • Familiarity with systems such as Careview, Xero, or similar
