As a Junior SEO Specialist, you’ll take ownership of your own client accounts, delivering SEO campaigns that get real results while building the technical and strategic skills to grow along a clearly mapped-out career path. You’ll be backed by regular training, mentoring, and 1:1s with your SEO Directors and Seniors, and you’ll be the person clients trust for clear, honest communication as their campaign progresses.
Your day-to-day might include:

Managing your own portfolio of SEO campaigns across a range of clients and industries, working to maximise organic search results.

Building strong client relationships through emails, calls, and meetings, so they always know what’s happening with their campaign.

Executing on-page and off-page SEO strategies, from technical fixes to content and link-building opportunities.

Reporting on performance each month, pulling together data and insights clients can actually understand.

Auditing websites using specialised SEO tools to spot technical issues and turn them into a clear plan of action.

Learning continuously through Hawk Academy, training sessions, workshops, and regular 1:1s with your SEO Director.

Collaborating with the wider SEO team, sharing wins, asking questions, and pitching in wherever needed.

As with any role, there are requirements, and we want to be upfront so you know what’s expected.
Must haves:
- Based in Sydney, Australia.
- Proven experience in a collaborative environment (retail, hospitality, university, or similar).
- A genuine willingness to learn the fundamentals of on-page and off-page SEO.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident on emails, calls, and in meetings.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with solid time management.
- A go-getter who is results-driven and enjoys building relationships with clients.
Bonus qualities:
Not essential, but definitely a plus:
- Cert IV, Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing or a related field.
- Prior experience in marketing or SEO.
- Proven experience using AI to optimise SEO processes, strategies and overall day-to-day management.
- Completion of Hawk Academy or an equivalent SEO training course.
- Familiarity with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Screaming Frog.

Salary & Compensation:

- Base salary: AUD $55,000 + superannuation.
