What you’ll do:

We want you to know what you’re signing up for, so let’s be crystal clear from the start.

You’ll be part of a team that blends strategy, creativity, and curiosity.

As Head of Sales, you’ll lead, coach and grow StudioHawk’s sales team and own new business and revenue growth. You’ll set the sales strategy, develop the team that delivers it, and work closely with Marketing and Operations to keep new business profitable and well delivered. This is a leadership role measured on the team’s results, not a personal sales number.

Your day-to-day might include:

  • Leading, coaching and developing the team through regular 1-1s, live deal coaching and development plans that get them closing more.
  • Running the team day to day: priorities, capacity, lead allocation and the weekly sales WIP, clearing blockers so they can sell.
  • Owning the team’s new business target and leading the team to deliver it.
  • Leading on the deals that matter most: strategic and Enterprise deals and partnerships, steering them to close with the SEO Performance Team and Head of SEO where needed.
  • Owning the pipeline and lead allocation: getting every enquiry to the right BDM fast, with disciplined qualification in and out.
  • Growing referral and channel partnerships with marketing leaders, CMOs and CEOs.
  • Owning HubSpot and CRM hygiene, deal-stage discipline and sales forecasting, reported to the General Manager.
  • Collaborating with Marketing as equals on lead quality and feedback loops, and running feedback loops with the delivery team to keep handovers clean and refine fit, process and offer.
  • Spotting opportunities and shaping strategy by bringing new growth and offer ideas that align with what StudioHawk does best.

  • Based in Melbourne, Australia (Prahran office, hybrid working).
  • A proven sales leader who has built, coached and scaled high-performing sales teams.
  • 5+ years in high-growth B2B sales, with time in a leadership seat. SEO or digital is a plus but not required.
  • A track record of leading and developing teams to revenue targets.
  • Someone who treats Marketing as a true peer: collaborative, aligned, never territorial.
  • Data-informed, with confident pipeline, forecasting and CRM habits (HubSpot is a must).
  • A natural relationship and partnership builder, comfortable engaging with CMOs, marketing leaders and founders.
  • Proven experience using AI to optimise sales and business development processes.

Salary & Compensation:

We believe in transparency – here’s what this role offers:

  • Base salary: AUD $145,000 to $160,000 + superannuation (depending on experience).
  • Team performance override: A percentage of the new-client book your team builds, recognising your leadership, not just your own selling.
  • On-target earnings: Circa $260,000 – $280,000 at target, uncapped, with upside above as the team beats target.
