About the role:
Reporting to leadership, the ICT Support Officer is responsible for the day-to-day operation, stability and continuous improvement of the organisation’s ICT environment.
This non-frontline role offers a strong career growth opportunity, combining responsive hands-on technical support with broader strategic input. The position provides informed hardware and software recommendations, implements practical automation, and supports meaningful technology change across the organisation.
The role is focused on delivering reliable, secure and user-friendly systems that enable staff to work effectively, whether on site, remotely, or in regional and remote locations. It also ensures ICT systems support compliance, data security and smooth service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Provide first and second-level ICT support to staff, primarily remotely, with on-site support as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, device, access and system issues.
- Set up, configure and maintain laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and related ICT equipment.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services, including user accounts, permissions, security settings, device integration and ongoing optimisation.
- Maintain Mobile Device Management solutions, including Microsoft Intune.
- Support cybersecurity, data protection, user access controls and system reliability.
- Monitor and improve the availability, usability and effectiveness of ICT services across the organisation.
- Develop, review and maintain clear ICT documentation, procedures and user guides.
- Communicate technical information in a clear and practical way to non-technical staff.
- Recommend hardware, software and system improvements aligned to business needs, staff capability and future growth.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows, including automation through Power Automate and system integration.
- Support the implementation of ICT changes, upgrades, new systems and process improvements in a structured and transparent way.
- Travel to regional and remote locations as required to support ICT infrastructure, staff and operations.
- Build staff confidence and capability through practical guidance, support and user-focused service.
What you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in an ICT support / service desk / systems support role
- Demonstrated experience supporting and administering Windows based environments Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 Administration (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Ability to troubleshoot common issues remotely and explain solutions clearly
- Experience in managing devices via Microsoft Intune (MDM).
- Strong documentation skills and an understanding of data security principles
- A calm, service-oriented approach and the ability to support a diverse workforce
- High level of initiative and comfort working independently in a remote role
Pre-employment requirements:
The successful applicant will have (or be willing to obtain prior to commencement):
- Experience in the NDIS or broader community services sector is highly regarded but not essential.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
