Strawberry Fare is seeking two experienced Chefs and two experienced Bakers to join our professional kitchen team in Christchurch.

About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent position with minimum 35 guaranteed hours per week, which will include evening shifts and weekend shifts. You will be responsible for managing a designated section of the kitchen and maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
● Preparing and cooking menu items to established recipes and presentation standards
● Managing a specific kitchen section efficiently during service
● Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards at all times
● Assisting with stock control and minimising wastage
● Supporting and mentoring junior kitchen staff
● Contributing to a positive and professional team culture
Hours & Pay
Guaranteed minimum: 35 hours per week
Rostered shifts including on evenings and weekends
Pay rate: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Position based in Christchurch, New Zealand
Skills & Experience Required
Applicants must have:
● A relevant Level 4 cookery qualification OR at least 3 years’ relevant industry experience in a commercial kitchen
● Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
● Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
● Good communication and teamwork skills
● You must be reliable, organised, and capable of working to high standards during busy service periods
