The Opportunity
Steritech is seeking motivated Casual Plant Operators to join our Narangba team.
This hands-on role is suited to confident forklift operators with experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, processing, or similar environments. You will support day-to-day plant and warehouse operations, including loading and unloading product, moving materials, preparing loads, completing documentation, and maintaining a safe and organised workplace.
Previous sterilisation or irradiation experience is not required, as full site-specific training will be provided.
As a casual role, shifts will vary depending on operational needs. This may include shorter weekday shifts, 12-hour shifts, weekend coverage, night shifts, or leave coverage for other operators.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, move, and stage customer product
- Assist with receiving, checking, preparing, processing, and dispatching product
- Prepare, label, secure, and transfer loads as directed
- Complete basic checks, logs, records, and system entries accurately
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures, safety, quality, GMP, and site requirements
- Assist with routine pre-start and equipment checks, reporting any issues
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and workplace safety
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, team members, drivers, and contractors
About You
You are safety-focused, reliable, and physically capable of working in an active, hands-on environment. You have a positive attitude, work well in a team, and can adapt to varying shift patterns. You will also have the following:
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
Essential
- Current Forklift Licence – LF class
- Proven, recent forklift operating experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, processing, or similar operational environment
- Confidence safely loading, unloading, moving, and staging product
- Reliable transport to and from work
- Ability to safely perform manual handling and on-your-feet work
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Basic computer or data entry skills
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, product quality, and following procedures
- Right to live and work in Australia
Preferred
- Previous experience in manufacturing, processing, or warehouse environments
- Familiarity with warehouse management or inventory systems
- Exposure to plant, machinery, or automated equipment
- Previous sterilisation, irradiation, biosecurity, medical device, or healthcare product experience
