Join Our Finance Team

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team on a permanent part-time basis, working 3 days per week. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, maintaining accounts payable records, and supporting the broader finance function.

The ideal candidate will possess strong accounts payable experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and code supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Review invoice pricing and investigate discrepancies, working closely with the Purchasing team to resolve issues.
  • Prepare and process EFT payments, including overseas supplier payments.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and investigate outstanding items.
  • Review and monitor outstanding Purchase Orders to ensure accurate matching and processing.
  • Maintain and update supplier information and records within Redmap.
  • Verify invoice approvals and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions and supporting documentation.
  • File and archive invoices and payment records.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Provide administrative and accounting support to the Finance team as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience using PRONTO and Redmap is highly desirable.
  • Experience processing EFT and international supplier payments.
  • Strong reconciliation skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related discipline is desirable.
