The Opportunity
Stanley College is seeking a highly qualified Trainer and Assessor – Nursing to deliver exceptional education within the Diploma of Nursing program at the Mirrabooka Campus. Reporting to the Faculty Manager – Nursing, this role blends theory and hands-on clinical training to ensure students are fully prepared for clinical placements and professional registration. The position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with ANMAC and ASQA standards while fostering a supportive, inclusive, and high-quality learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective theoretical and practical nursing training aligned with the Diploma of Nursing curriculum.
- Design, conduct, and assess learning activities to evaluate student competency and readiness for clinical practice.
- Supervise and evaluate practical skills in simulations and placement settings, ensuring industry and regulatory standards are met.
- Maintain accurate student records and contribute to validation, moderation, audits, and quality assurance activities.
- Ensure all training and assessment activities comply with ANMAC, ASQA, and organisational requirements.
- Support student progression through academic guidance, mentoring, and preparation for clinical placements.
- Collaborate with industry partners to maintain program relevance and strengthen placement opportunities.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote workplace safety, diversity, inclusion, and alignment with Stanley College’s values and strategic objectives.
About You
- Relevant qualification in Nursing with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in nursing education and training delivery within an RTO or higher education environment.
- Strong understanding of ANMAC and ASQA compliance requirements and quality assurance processes.
- Commitment to student-centred teaching, professional excellence, and continuous improvement in nursing education.
