ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a full-time (12-month fixed term) position. The successful candidate will be primarily based at our West Perth Campus, reporting to the Student Support Manager.
In this role, the Student Events & Communications Coordinator will play a key role in enhancing the student experience by planning, coordinating, and delivering engaging events, orientations, graduations, and student activities. The position supports a vibrant and inclusive campus culture by strengthening student engagement, communication, wellbeing, and sense of belonging. Working closely with students, staff, and external stakeholders, this role contributes to positive student outcomes and supports Stanley College’s commitment to an exceptional student experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver student events, orientations, graduations, and engagement activities across campuses.
- Develop and implement an annual event calendar aligned with student needs and College objectives.
- Manage end-to-end event coordination including logistics, venues, catering, suppliers, transportation, and event resources.
- Promote events through effective communication channels to increase student participation and engagement.
- Coordinate communications with students, staff, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Support multicultural student engagement initiatives that promote inclusion and wellbeing.
- Manage event budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure efficient use of College resources.
- Coordinate supplier relationships, negotiate services, and support invoice processing.
- Manage registrations, attendance records, feedback collection, and post-event reporting.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and enhance future student activities.
- Support the Alumni program and other student experience initiatives.
- Ensure all events comply with College policies, procedures, WHS requirements, and relevant guidelines.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Qualifications and experience
- Qualification in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in event planning, coordination, and delivery.
- Experience managing events from concept through to completion.
- Experience coordinating logistics, budgets, suppliers, and stakeholder relationships.
- Experience working in the education sector, particularly with international students, is desirable.
- Experience working with multicultural communities and diverse student cohorts.
- Demonstrated experience using communication, marketing, and event management tools.
