ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for an experienced Facilities & WHS Manager to lead facilities, safety, and operational performance across our campuses in WA and SA.
This is a key leadership role where you’ll ensure our campuses are safe, compliant, and well maintained, while driving a strong safety culture, continuous improvement, and high-quality environments that support teaching, learning, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of facilities, workplace health and safety (WHS), and business continuity across all College campuses.
- Lead the strategic and operational management of all College facilities, buildings, plant, equipment, and physical assets.
- Oversee capital works and facilities projects, including asset, contractor, budget, and maintenance management.
- Ensure campuses are safe, compliant, well maintained, and support effective teaching, learning, and business operations.
- Develop, implement, and embed robust WHS, risk management, emergency management, and business continuity frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, regulatory, and governance requirements.
- Drive a proactive safety culture, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement across facilities operations.
- Provide direct leadership and performance management of facilities staff.
- Enhance staff and student experience through strong governance, safety, efficiency, and high‑quality service delivery.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Qualifications and experience
- Tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience managing multi-site facilities operations.
- Proven experience in WHS, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience managing contractors, capital works, and maintenance programs.
- Experience in business continuity and emergency management.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to drive performance and accountability.
- Strong financial management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in education or regulated environments (desirable).
- Knowledge of ASQA, TEQSA, or audit-driven environments (desirable).
- WHS certification (e.g. Cert IV in Work Health and Safety) or equivalent (highly desirable).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between campuses.
