ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a casual position. The successful candidate will be primarily based at our Mirrabooka Campus, with flexibility to support the West Perth Campus as required, reporting to the Faculty Manager – Early Childhood Education.

In this role, the Crèche Training Coordinator (Relief) plays an important role in supporting early childhood education delivery by providing quality care for children while guiding students through practical learning experiences. The position ensures a safe, inclusive, and engaging crèche environment while supporting student development, assessment preparation, and compliance with early childhood education standards. This role contributes to quality training outcomes, student success, and Stanley College’s commitment to providing industry-ready graduates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for children in line with the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Provide quality care, supervision, and positive interactions that support children’s development and wellbeing.
  • Support students undertaking Early Childhood Education courses through practical demonstrations, mentoring, and guidance.
  • Provide feedback and assistance to students to develop practical skills and meet course requirements.
  • Assist trainers with student learning activities, assessments, and workplace readiness.
  • Maintain accurate records including attendance, safety documentation, cleaning checklists, and compliance records.
  • Support crèche administration, resource preparation, and communication with parents/guardians.
  • Ensure all practices comply with childcare regulations, College policies, and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance children’s learning experiences and student training outcomes.
  • Participate in audits, reviews, and compliance activities to ensure the crèche remains audit-ready.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or relevant qualification.
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (or willingness to obtain).
  • Demonstrated experience working in a childcare, early learning, or family daycare environment.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring students in practical training environments (desirable).
  • Understanding of early childhood education practices, National Quality Standards, and Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Experience maintaining documentation and compliance records.
