ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a full-time position. The successful candidate will be primarily based at our West Perth Campus, reporting to the Quality & Compliance Manager.

In this role, you will support Stanley College in maintaining full compliance with training and assessment standards and legal requirements. You’ll provide guidance, implement compliance frameworks, and monitor adherence to regulatory obligations across our Higher Education operations. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement and risk mitigation, ensuring alignment with industry standards, government regulations, and accreditation requirements, while promoting a culture of accountability and quality. 

Key Responsibilities

Higher Education Compliance and Governance

  • Provide clear advice on regulatory frameworks and how they apply across Stanley College  
  • Develop, review, and maintain policies, procedures, and best practices  
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure updates are implemented in a timely way  
  • Maintain accurate student data in PRISMS and ensure correct reporting  
  • Support system administration (e.g. Novacore, SMS templates)  
  • Manage monthly and annual reporting requirements for Higher Education  
  • Review marketing materials to ensure they meet compliance standards  
  • Ensure accuracy of transcripts and testamurs in line with AQF requirements  
  • Identify and manage risks, strengthening institutional credibility and compliance practices  
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying gaps and implementing better processes  
  • Embed compliance into daily operations and support a culture of accountability  

Support for the Registrar, Higher Education

  • Assist with reporting student and staff data to TEQSA and the Department of Education  
  • Support FEE-HELP reporting, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met  
  • Assist in managing complaints and appeals, ensuring a fair and transparent process  

Prioritise Workplace Safety

  • Take responsibility for your own health and safety, and that of others  
  • Report any hazards or incidents promptly in line with workplace policies  

Audit and Reporting

  • Lead internal compliance audits and support external audit processes  
  • Manage the annual audit cycle and ensure all requirements are met  
  • Identify risks and implement corrective actions  
  • Report compliance issues to senior management in a timely manner  

Organisational Support

  • Work in line with Stanley College’s vision, mission, and values  
  • Ensure all documentation and processes follow established policies and procedures  
  • Maintain accurate and accessible records  
  • Assist with additional tasks as required 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Experience and qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Higher Education environment, ideally in compliance or regulatory roles  
  • Experience using PRISMS for student data management and reporting  
  • Strong experience in records management and data administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance  
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve challenges within the Higher Education sector  
  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline

Knowledge and Skills

  • Current knowledge of the Higher Education Standards Framework 2021, ESOS Act 2000, and National Code 2018  
  • Familiarity with Higher Education policies and procedures, including enrolment, assessment, and compliance requirements  
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills  
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills  
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulations, technologies, and organisational needs  
  • Advanced skills in student information systems, learning management systems, and educational technologies  
  • Ability to use data management and reporting tools effectively  
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with sector trends
