About the Role
This role will coordinate the day-to-day labour scheduling for all traffic management jobs undertaken by Spectran. They will have responsibility for the scheduling of the people required to maintain efficiency in the traffic operations along with the administrative tasks associated with this work. This position plays a key role in supporting our traffic team to complete jobs in an efficient, safe and professional manner.
Position Duties
Main duties will consist of but not be limited to:
• Responsibility for a coordinated approach to the labour allocation/scheduling to jobs by working with traffic contract managers to ensure the right people are scheduled to
jobs in an appropriate manner
• Ensure there is an adequate team of skilled traffic controller available to meet the operation requirements of the business
• Monitor the performance of the traffic controller and when required take prompt action to address any areas of concern or training opportunities
• General administrative duties to support the traffic operations including invoicing and approval of employee timesheets
• Ensure all work undertaken in your area of responsibility is always performed in a safe manner
• Any other duties as required
Essential
• Proven experience in an allocation, scheduling or coordinating role
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a flexible manner given the ever-changing scope of our works
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability communicate confidently internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team, showing initiative, flexibility, and leadership skills
• A genuine team player with a true willingness to help others
• Good practical working knowledge of computer / technology applications relevant to the job
• Australian citizen or a full unrestricted work permit / visa for Australia
Desirable
• Good working knowledge of the traffic industry
