Southside Racing is looking for a motivated Finance Officer to support our financial operations across racing, events and hospitality, playing a key role in keeping the business running smoothly behind the scenes.

 

About Us

Southside Racing operates premier racing and training facilities at Cranbourne and Pakenham, along with three vibrant hospitality and entertainment venues: Cardinia Club, Club Officer and Silks Cranbourne.

Our venues operate seven days a week and are a vital part of our business, offering members and guests a wide range of hospitality, racing and entertainment experiences.

 

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role supports the day-to-day finance function across the organisation.

You will work across accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations and month-end processes, while gaining exposure to race day and event operations.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in finance, with the opportunity to grow over time.

 

Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable & Purchasing

  • Process supplier invoices and manage approvals
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries

Accounts Receivable

  • Assist with invoicing and debtor management
  • Reconcile payments and follow up outstanding accounts

Month-End & Reporting

  • Support month-end reporting, journals and reconciliations

Finance Support

  • Assist with race day and event reconciliations
  • Provide backup support across payroll and bank recs

 

About You

  • Tertiary qualification (or working towards) in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
  • Experience in a finance, accounting or accounts administration role desirable
  • Exposure to accounts payable and/or receivable processes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
