About the Role

We are seeking a Trades Assistant to support our Sydney based Construction team on sports field drainage and irrigation projects. This is a hands on role suited to someone keen to build a trade career in irrigation and civil works. Our projects range from major sporting complexes to commercial high rise developments. This is a growing business with constant new opportunities and genuine career progression for the right person. The hourly rate for this role is $30 to $38 depending on experience.

• Western Sydney Wanderers Football Club
• Henson Park Stormwater Harvesting
• Doohan Reserve Sporting Complex
• Caddies Creek Sporting Complex

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of irrigation systems on sports fields
• Assist with installation of drainage and water harvesting systems
• Dig trenches and lay pipework under supervision
• Support technicians with system testing and fault finding
• Load and unload materials, tools and equipment on site
• Keep work sites clean, safe and well organised
• Follow direction from Irrigation Technicians and Supervisors
• Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment

Essential

• Willingness to learn and work hard in an outdoor role
• Reliable, punctual and a strong team player
• Comfortable with physical labour and working outdoors
• Full working rights required

Desirable

• Previous labouring experience in landscaping, civil or trades
• Interest in pursuing a trade qualification in irrigation or turf
