The Opportunity

We’re looking for a skilled Drainage Installer to join our specialist Drainage Division, delivering the construction and regeneration of natural turf sports fields across community ovals, elite sporting precincts and high-profile venues. This is a precision-focused, technically demanding role where the standard of your work is seen and felt by communities for years to come. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals using industry-leading equipment and proven construction methodologies, playing a direct role in delivering some of Australia’s finest sports surfaces from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operation of GPS and laser-guided machinery to achieve millimetre accuracy on drainage installation
  • Installation of sand slit drainage systems on natural turf sports surfaces, both new and existing, to design specifications
  • Sand grooving to existing turf surfaces to improve surface water movement
  • Installation of gravel and sand rootzone profiles complete with Megaflow drainage solutions
  • Laying pipework and fittings and fitting drainage components to specification
  • Supporting turf preparation and surface restoration works
  • Reading and interpreting drainage plans, levels and grades
  • Completing daily pre-start checks and maintaining safesite practices throughout 

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience installing drainage systems in civil, landscaping or sports turf environments
  • Familiarity with GPS and laser-guided machinery and precision installation techniques
  • Knowledge of sand slit drainage, rootzone profiles and surface water management
  • Ability to read and interpret drainage plans, levels and grades
  • Competence with hand tools, small power tools and general site equipment
  • Construction White Card and any plant tickets will be desirable
  • A reliable, team-oriented attitude and pride in quality work
