Overview of the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Business Operations to partner closely with the COO in driving operational scale, delivery governance, workforce operations, executive coordination, and organisational maturity across the business.
This is a senior operational leadership role designed for a commercially minded operator with strong enterprise delivery experience who can bring structure, visibility, accountability, and execution discipline to a rapidly scaling consultancy environment.
You will work closely with executive leadership, delivery leaders, recruitment, finance, and enterprise stakeholders to help ensure the business operates effectively while continuing to scale across multiple concurrent enterprise programs.
A Bachelor’s degree is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities
Executive & Operational Leadership
- Partner closely with the COO across operational strategy, business priorities, and organisational execution
- Drive operational cadence across the business including leadership reporting, workforce forecasting, utilisation tracking, and escalation management
- Coordinate executive operational rhythms including monthly company-wide updates, leadership reporting, operational reviews, and executive communications
- Prepare executive-level presentations, operational reporting packs, strategic updates, and leadership materials for senior stakeholders
Portfolio Delivery Governance & PMO
- Drive portfolio-level delivery governance across active enterprise programs
- Establish operational visibility across delivery health, risks, escalations, dependencies, and resource pressures
- Support intervention and operational recovery activities for at-risk or challenged delivery programs
- Improve accountability, governance, reporting quality, and execution consistency across delivery portfolios
Workforce Management & Recruitment Operations
- Drive workforce planning, consultant allocation, onboarding, extensions, and contractor lifecycle operations across the business
- Partner closely with recruitment and delivery leadership to support hiring strategy, mobilisation planning, and workforce scalability
- Improve visibility across resource capacity, utilisation, delivery demand, and workforce forecasting
Operational Governance & Risk Management
- Strengthen operational governance, reporting, accountability, and business operational maturity across the organisation
- Identify operational risks, delivery bottlenecks, workforce risks, and scaling challenges proactively
Commercial & Business Operations
- Improve operational visibility across project commercials, invoicing governance, renewals, extensions, and delivery financial performance
- Build executive operational dashboards and reporting to support leadership decision-making
Process Improvement & Operational Scalability
- Drive operational maturity initiatives across delivery, PMO, workforce operations, and internal governance
- Improve internal systems, workflows, reporting, automation, and operational tooling
- Support the adoption of AI-enabled operational processes where appropriate
Skills and Experience
Required:
- 8–15+ years experience across business operations, consulting operations, delivery operations, PMO, strategy execution, or operational leadership
- Experience within a technology consultancy, systems integrator, professional services, or enterprise technology environment
- Strong understanding of enterprise delivery operations, workforce management, operational governance, and commercial operations
- Experience delivering or overseeing large-scale enterprise software or transformation programs
- Experience supporting high-growth organisations and scaling operational functions
- Strong executive communication capability, including preparing C-level presentations, operational reporting packs, and strategic business updates
- Strong stakeholder management capability across executive leadership, delivery teams, recruitment, finance, and enterprise clients
- Highly organised with strong commercial awareness and operational judgement
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with multiple competing priorities
Preferred:
- Financial services or regulated industry experience
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale delivery programs across banking, insurance, or large corporate environments
- Experience implementing operational process improvement, governance frameworks, or automation initiatives
- Familiarity with cloud, AI, digital engineering, or enterprise technology delivery environments
