SMA Australia has a part-time position available for a talented Engineering Student in our Large-Scale team. The position is hybrid ie, a mix of working from home and working at our North Sydney office.
About the role
This role support SMA’s global large-scale strategy by analysing renewable energy market trends, policy impacts, and technical-commercial interactions, with a focus on grid-connected PV and storage systems.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Research and analyse global renewable energy markets and policies (Australia and internationally).
- Investigate new and emerging renewable energy technologies and industry trends.
- Track and report on sales performance across different regions.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel and Power BI.
- Summarise key findings and insights for the global team.
- Help shape strategic decisions for SMA’s global markets.

Experience & Skills
- 2nd to 4th year degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent would be ideal.
- Analytical skills are essential.
- Solid Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong skills in handling and communicating large volumes of data in a structured way.
- Interest in renewables and global markets.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Adaptability. You will be constantly picking up new tasks and working on new projects as priorities shift.
