Looking for your next step in legal admin? We are seeking an enthusiastic Legal Assistant to join our Queensland team, either in our Brisbane or Gold Coast offices.
Your new role
You will be an integral part of the team – supporting lawyers, providing exceptional client service and administrative excellence.
Your variety of work will include:
- Work collaboratively with legal practitioners to provide comprehensive administrative support
- Liaise with clients/barristers/lawyers via phone, letter, email and in-person
- Draft, proofread and file legal documents and correspondence
- Manage daily meetings and travel
- Matter management including setting up files, conflict checks and due diligence procedures
- End of month billing, including invoice preparation and file closures
- Plan and organise client and team events
You will bring to the role:
- Proven experience with administrative support to Partners/Executives within legal services is desirable
- Knowledge of law, regulations and court system
- Exceptional communication and client service
- Proactive approach and initiative
- Confidence with a range of technology and in learning new systems
- Strong time management, planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team
- Experience using practice management system Actionstep highly regarded
- Experience using Redcrest, Commcourts, elodgement and Citec highly regarded
