SLF Lawyers is a mid-tier commercial law firm experiencing sustained national growth, and we are currently seeking a high-performing Lawyer (1–4 PAE) to join our Commercial Litigation, Recoveries & Insolvency team in Queensland.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to broaden their capability across complex disputes, legal recovery, and insolvency matters, working closely with experienced Partners in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

You will work across a diverse mix of commercial litigation, legal recovery and insolvency matters, with strong client exposure and early responsibility.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a diverse file load with appropriate supervision and Partner support
  • Acting for liquidators, trustees, administrators, receivers, and company directors in insolvency and bankruptcy matters
  • Acting in a range of commercial disputes and legal recovery matters, including complex, multi-jurisdictional proceedings
  • Drafting pleadings, advices, submissions, and correspondence
  • Preparing briefs and instructions for Counsel and external experts
  • Assisting with and appearing at directions hearings, interlocutory applications, mediations, and final hearings (as appropriate to your experience level)
  • Undertaking legal research to support case strategy and client advice
  • Contributing to client relationship management and business development initiatives

About You

You are a capable, commercial and solutions-focused lawyer looking to accelerate your development within a leading disputes practice.

  • 1–4 years’ post-admission experience (PAE)
  • Experience in commercial litigation, insolvency, or dispute resolution
  • A pragmatic and client-focused approach to problem solving
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Confident communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Strong digital capability (MS365)
