Senior Systems Engineer – REQ0038

Silentium Defence is a world leader in passive radar, delivering advanced capability into complex defence environments. We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to play a key role shaping system architecture, requirements and technical outcomes across advanced products and programs.

This role suits an experienced systems engineer who enjoys working at the system level, balancing technical depth with big picture thinking, and influencing design decisions in complex hardware software environments.

What you will do

• Lead system definition activities including requirements, architectures and interfaces
• Develop and maintain requirements traceability across design, integration and verification
• Support system design, trade studies and technical decision making
• Work closely with hardware, software and integration teams to ensure cohesive system outcomes
• Contribute to system integration, verification and validation planning
• Identify, manage and mitigate technical risks and system level issues

What you bring

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Strong experience in systems engineering within complex, product based environment
• Demonstrated experience with requirements management and system architectur
• Ability to work across hardware and software domain
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative, delivery focused mindset

• Australian citizenship is mandatory
• Ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance
