Silentium Defence is continuing to grow, and we are seeking a technically minded Graduate Support Engineer to join our Support team.
This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to develop hands-on experience across supporting engineering, product operation, troubleshooting, field application support, maintenance and customer issue resolution.
Reporting to the Support Lead, you will work closely with engineering, project, production and customer-facing teams to support Silentium Defence’s advanced technology products and help ensure our systems continue to perform in real-world environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Respond to assigned support tasks and assist with the investigation, triage and resolution of customer and internal support issues
- Support the operation, configuration, maintenance and basic troubleshooting of company systems
- Learn how to set up, operate and troubleshoot Silentium Defence products
- Coordinate with engineering, production, project and support stakeholders to progress technical issues
- Support the development of customer reporting metrics
- Assist with equipment trials, customer operations, integrations and training activities
- Develop practical knowledge of product architectures, interfaces, maintenance practices and support processes
- Support local, national and international field deployments when required, with appropriate supervision
About You
You are a recent engineering graduate who is curious, proactive and keen to build a career in support engineering, field applications or product support.
You enjoy practical problem solving, learning how systems work and working with others to resolve
technical issues.
You are comfortable asking questions, taking ownership of tasks and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will bring:
- A recent Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, Software, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering or similar
- Less than 2 years of relevant professional work experience
- A strong willingness to learn across product support, troubleshooting, maintenance and customer operations
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive and responsible approach to completing tasks
- The ability to work collaboratively with engineering, project, production and support teams
- A genuine interest in Defence technology, advanced sensing, RF, radar or complex systems
Exposure to Defence, RF, radar, sensing systems, electronics, software, mechanical systems or customer-facing technical support would be highly regarded, but is not essential.

Due to the nature of our work within the Defence industry, applicants must be Australian Citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.
Applicants must also be willing to undertake occasional domestic travel, with the potential to support field activities and customer operations when required.
