We’re looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Electronics Technician to support the assembly, testing, maintenance, and development of advanced passive radar systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical technical work, problem-solving, and working within a collaborative
engineering environment.
At Silentium Defence, you’ll contribute to technology that supports Defence, national security, and critical infrastructure outcomes while working alongside highly skilled engineers and technicians.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assemble, test, and maintain electronic systems and sub-systems
- Support hardware development and integration activities
- Conduct bench testing, troubleshooting, and fault finding
- Assist with component sourcing and procurement activities
- Prepare systems and equipment for field trials and demonstrations
- Support installation activities during trials and field deployments
- Maintain technical documentation, BOMs, and development records
- Work closely with engineers, technicians, suppliers, and contractors
About You
You’re someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes pride in
quality workmanship, and thrives in a team environment. You’re proactive,
organised, and keen to contribute to innovative Defence technology programs.
What We’re Looking For
- Cert III in Engineering (Electronic Trade) or equivalent experience
- Experience in electronics assembly and/or manufacturing
- Strong soldering and prototype manufacturing skills
- Ability to interpret circuit diagrams and technical datasheets
- Experience using laboratory test equipment and specialised hand tools
- Basic understanding of RF theory and electronic systems
- Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance
