Are you passionate about helping people learn, develop and reach their potential? Do you enjoy building systems, coordinating training programs and supporting employees throughout their career journey?

At Sharpe®, we’re looking for a proactive and organised Training & Development Coordinator to drive workforce capability, compliance, and employee development across our business.

This is a diverse role where no two days are the same. One day you’ll be coordinating apprenticeship sign-ups and liaising with TAFE, the next you’ll be managing training records, supporting audits, updating competency matrices, or helping managers identify future skills needs.

If you enjoy creating structure, building relationships, and making a genuine impact on employee growth and business success, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining a skilled, compliant, and capable workforce by:

• Coordinating internal and external training activities, including technical, compliance, HSE, and mandatory training requirements

• Monitoring and following up on training completion, competency outcomes, and training effectiveness to support operational capability and compliance requirements

• Supporting managers to proactively identify workforce capability, compliance, and training requirements across operational and support functions

• Managing employee training, qualifications, licences, and competency records

• Maintaining and updating AG5 Skills Matrix and Employment Hero records

• Coordinating apprenticeship sign-ups, training contracts, and apprentice development

• Liaising with TAFE, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), Apprenticeship Support Networks, and external training providers

• Scheduling apprentice block training, study leave, and development activities

• Tracking apprentice progress and supporting successful completion outcomes

• Assisting with compliance activities, and internal and external audits

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across training systems and processes

What success looks like

You’re someone who:

• Enjoys helping people grow and succeed

• Takes pride in being organised and keeping accurate records

• Builds positive relationships with employees, managers, and external stakeholders

• Can manage multiple priorities without losing attention to detail

• Looks for opportunities to improve systems and processes

• Understands the importance of compliance, training, and workforce capability

• Communicates confidently and professionally with people at all levels

• Takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion

What you’ll bring

✔ Minimum 2 years’ experience in training coordination, learning and development, HR administration, or a similar role.

✔ Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), Diploma in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Business Administration, or another relevant qualification (desirable).

✔ Experience coordinating apprenticeships and traineeships and working with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), TAFE and training providers

✔ Experience using AG5, Employment Hero, SharePoint, or similar HR, training, and competency management systems

✔ Strong administration, planning and organisational skills

✔ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

✔ Ability to maintain accurate records and manage confidential information

✔ A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail

✔ Commitment to continuous improvement, teamwork, and professional development
