  •  This is your chance to contribute positively to the impact Share the Dignity creates across Australia by coordinating our key drives and campaigns
  • Be part of a supportive, close-knit team on the north side of Brisbane, where no two days are the same

Share the Dignity is passionate about our work helping women, girls and those who menstruate in need. Our aim is to eliminate period poverty and ensure menstrual equity for all in Australia. As a relatively young charity (11 years old), there are still so many ways to grow and improve what we do. We are looking for someone who would relish the challenge of being a part of this phase.

This is a full-time role that reports to the Service Operations Manager and works with the Service Operations Team. The Service Operations Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the program delivery of our Dignity Drives, Sponsor a Bag initiatives, It’s in the Bag campaign, and our Indigenous Menstrual Health Initiative. This role will be fast-paced, exciting and rewarding!

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Service Operations Manager with key internal and external relationships, contracts and stakeholder communications including our charity and corporate partners, transport and supplier companies
  • Coordinating the delivery of successful drives and campaigns including associated research, plan and execution of operational tasks
  • Coordinating logistics, storage, dispatch and stocktake
  • Overseeing Service Operations administration to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
  • Reporting and analysis of key drives and service operations programs
  • Coordinating IT system updates, maintenance and improvements
  • Coordinating and oversee volunteer relationships and communications regarding Service Operations functions

Being adaptable, flexible, responsive to changing circumstances and confidently handling these is a must. As is your ability to establish warm and respectful relationships with all stakeholders of Share the Dignity and communicate effectively in person, via email and using online communication tools.

You proactively identify opportunities for improvement and work collaboratively with other teams to solve problems. You can manage multiple competing priorities with a professional and positive approach. You can see the bigger picture and can recognise and be responsive to different experiences, perspectives, values and beliefs.

To be a successful candidate, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in project management, Business Administration, Volunteer Programs or similar field, and/or previous experience relevant to this role
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills
  • Demonstrated ability to run a project/program from inception to completion and to keep on top of key dates/tasks in a large project/program including reporting and monitoring budgets
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills and ability to provide an exceptional level of customer service to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to assist with general stock moving in accordance with manual handling procedures

Desirable skills

  • An IT, Logistics or Events Management qualification or similar
  • Not-for-profit experience or knowledge
  • Experience with CRMs and/or stock and logistics management programs
  • Experience supporting volunteers

Juggling a varied workload with competing timeframes and an ability to be calm and responsive under pressure are key to your ongoing success.

Company Overview

Share the Dignity works to make a real, on-the-ground difference to the lives of women, girls and those who menstruate who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, domestic violence or poverty. We distribute period products to those in need and work to achieve menstrual equity here in Australia. When someone is doing it tough, the last thing on their mind should be dealing with their period. We are proud to partner with over 3,000 charities nationally, helping them to assist the women, girls and those who menstruate who desperately need access to period products. This is achieved through our Dignity Drives and Dignity Vending Machines. We also collect and distribute bags filled with essential items to the people we support at Christmas time through our annual It’s in the Bag campaign.
