Summary:

The Garment Technician is responsible for ensuring that garments meet quality, fit, construction, and production standards from development through to final production. The role involves working closely with the garments, manufacturers, and suppliers to improve garment fit, functionality, and overall product quality.

Responsibilities:

Quality Control

  • Measure all garments, providing accurate customer information
  • QC inspection on all New & Re-stocked items that come into the warehouse to ensure consistent fit & quality and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Investigate quality issues, root cause analysis, and corrective action with suppliers/buying team
  • Support warehouse and customer service teams by reviewing faulty/returned products and feeding learnings back into production.
  • Liaise with the Buying team to monitor production quality & access to all spec sheets
  • Maintain and update standard measurement charts and brand fit blocks
  • Ensure garments meet functional and aesthetic requirements (fit, comfort, movement, durability).

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Quality Controller with Garment Tech experience or similar role in fashion (women’s apparel preferred) an advantage
  • Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to balance speed-to-market with technical precision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to navigate web-based tools and software platforms is expected
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
