Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Platform Specialist (Solution Architect / Senior Developer) to design, build, and support scalable business applications, automation, and analytics solutions across our organisation. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep Power Platform expertise with strong stakeholder engagement, translating business needs into robust, enterprise-grade solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

Power Platform Development & Solution Design

  • Design and deliver end-to-end Power Platform solutions, including:
    • Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven)
    • Power Automate workflows
    • Power BI dashboards and reporting
    • Dataverse data models
  • Build scalable, maintainable solution aligned with enterprise architecture and governance frameworks

Business Intelligence & Data Solutions

  • Develop Power BI semantic models and dashboards using advanced:
    • DAX
    • Dimensional modelling
    • Data transformation (Power Query / M)
  • Integrate and consolidate data from multiple systems (finance, operations, sales) into meaningful insights
  • Support migration of data and reporting from legacy systems to modern cloud platforms (e.g., Fabric, Azure, SQL)

Automation & Process Improvement

  • Build automated workflows using Power Automate to improve efficiency and compliance
  • Integrate solutions with platforms such as:
    • SharePoint
    • Microsoft Forms
    • DocuSign
    • External APIs

Governance, DevOps & ALM

  • Contribute to and maintain Power Platform governance frameworks
  • Implement Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices across environments
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and reusable deployment templates

Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to:
    • Gather and refine requirements
    • Translate needs into technical solutions
    • Ensure alignment with business strategy
  • Lead solution design, implementation, and continuous improvement
  • Provide guidance and training to end users and team members

 

Key Skills & Experience Essential

  • Strong experience with:
    • Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven)
    • Power Automate
    • Power BI
    • Dataverse
  • Exposure to Dynamics 365 or similar out-of-the-box enterprise platforms (e.g., CRM, ERP systems), with an understanding of how to extend and integrate these using the Power Platform
  • Experience designing enterprise-grade BI and application solutions
  • Strong SQL and data modelling skills (dimensional modelling preferred)
  • Experience with Azure, Fabric, or data integration pipelines (ADF)
  • Knowledge of ALM, CI/CD, and governance best practices

Highly Desirable

  • Experience with:
    • Power Pages
    • AI Builder / Copilot Studio
    • REST API integrations
  • Familiarity with financial, operational, or sales data systems
  • Experience migrating legacy systems into modern cloud platforms

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Degree in Information Technology or related field (preferred)
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications highly regarded, such as:
    • PL-600 (Solution Architect Expert)
    • PL-200 (Functional Consultant)
    • PL-300 (Data Analyst)
    • PL-900 (Fundamentals)
